NES has been involved for many years in the railway sector to which NES supplies overhead line hardware and fittings.
Hardware components are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the Italian Railway Company using steel bars and plates as well as other selected materials. Steel products are hot formed and hot dip galvanized for corrosion protection during the whole expected lifetime.
FITTINGS FOR RAILWAY ELECTRICAL LINES
NES produces the full range of fittings specifically designed for railway electrical lines. They are approved by the Italian Railway Company and are made of materials suitable for the copper conductors used on these lines.
The most used materials are the bronze aluminium alloy and CUNISI alloy. The latter is a special alloy containing copper, nickel and silicon, having excellent mechanical characteristics. The fittings in bronze-aluminium are cast while the CUNISI alloy fittings are forged.
